We've decided to trade in my wife's trailblazer for a newer, fuel efficient SUV. What should I be looking at? What is affordable? Her 2004 trailblazer sucks gas like there's no tomorrow.

I live on a hill in Wisconsin, so I need 4WD.

any tips?

we're looking for a decent sized SUV (not a little go kart. We have a kid and we log plenty of junk in the back) that is fuel efficient. No more than 60k miles and 2005 or newer. Any tips?

I live in Pewaukee, WI, and am not going to buy a car in CA, so save the "buy my blazer" and what not.

  1. You should state what you consider good MPG ratings. I would suggest looking at the crossovers and also at the cars as alot of them have AWD. That works fine for most people that just drive on the road mostly. Most crossovers are in that range. Any make. Look at the websites of them.

  2. Try a Ford Escape. They have good mpg and don't pollute the air as much as an other SUV .

  3. Saturn Vue.

  4. we have an '08 honda cr-v with 4wheel drive. you can get one well optioned for under $25000. expect mileage in the mid to high 20's. ours is not for sale.

  5. It's really hard to get an SUV that's good on gas and big enough too. Japanese usually better on gas. Try Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, or a little smaller than these, Ford Escape, Toyota Rav4.. My pick would be the Highlander..
