Looking for airfare to spain.....what is the best time to shop for cheapest airfares during the week?

I am going to Spain (Mallorca) the first week of June.  The cheapest fare we found from JFK (in NY) to Madrid and then to Palma was through Expedia on Iberia Air.  We paid less than $1,000 per person, which, in my opinion, is very reasonable, given fuel costs and stuff.  Try Expedia and check it every day.  Also, try searching for carriers that fly from the US to Madrid and check all the websites.  Lots of times they have limited time offers for cheaper fares.  But with Expedia, we got the best deal.

I always use www.kayak.com and expedia, and play with the dates.  Tues, Wed, and Thurs seem to be the least expensive days to leave and return.  Shoulder seasons like March-May and Sept-Nov have good rates and really nice weather in Spain.  Good luck!  Have a blast.  Spain is fantastic, been there 3 times and love everywhere I've been.
