  1. Take a look at Villa Cenami.   www.cenami.it

I am actually living there now and have found it to be everything I thought Tuscany would be.  It is set up on a hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.  We are surrounded by olive groves and citrus trees.  It is lovely.    There is a wonderful pool on the property as well.

Email me if you would like to see more pictures or have additional questions. (cvillecmd at yahoo)  Depending on the time of your vacation it may be around the olive harvest time.  you could join us in the olive groves and then press your own olive oil to take home!

  2. Check out http://www.agriturismobellavista.com/tus...  Bella Vista is fantastic and the owners are great people.

  6. I recommend spending two days in Cinque Terre, visiting Pisa on your way to Florence, and staying in Fiesole outside of Florence for the duration.  Fiesole is GORGEOUS  and overlooks Florence from above.  There are multi-day bus passes pretty cheap.  The number 7 bus goes between Florence and Fiesole every 10-25 minutes.  The ride is 20-25 minutes, and it stops in all the important sightseeing areas.  The bus endpoints are between Fiesole and the train station.  Inside the train station to your left, is a tour office where you can purchase excursions to wineries, etc...  We love the Chianti winery tour.  We stayed at Villa Fiesole Hotel

and it was about $170 per night... so that's about 100 euro.  There is a restaurant at the top of Fiesole too, with an incredible view...it's either called the Blue Bar or it's next to it.  They have great crepes!
