I don't want to take the playpen down to the beach in all the sand because that will also be the baby's bed in the evening. And if you have been to the beach you know as well as I do how hard it is to get all the sand out of anything. We usually bring sand home without knowing too. I am looking for something like a collapsible or inflatable playpen. Anywhere I can order one. I am going to be taking a canopy with us to keep set up for more shade so I want to be able to put it inside this area. Thanks

  1. find an inexpensive child seat or walker etc. or umbrella stroller.

  2. A play-yard is a wonderful thing because you can use it a bit longer than an exersaucer.  Our daughter is almost 2 and we are still using one.  She's almost to the point of climbing out, but not quite.  We use it in the front yard when doing yard work and at friends'/families houses who haven't baby-proofed.

  3. bring an inflatable baby pool

then you can put some water in it for her to splash around in, and maybe a bit of sand

and if you dont want water or sand in the baby pool then just drain it and let your kid play with toys inside

and if she falls asleep, that's ok! she can sleep in the drained pool on a towel, and it will be comfortable because it is soft!

good luck!!! and have a great time at the beach :]

  5. We always took our Exersaucer with us, that is much easier to clean then a playpen, and it has enough things on it to keep your baby entertained too!

  6. Wal-Mart has a great portable play yard.
