Looking for an old french choir song?

Hi there. Okay I'm looking for the lyrics in english and french from an old choir song i used to sing in high school. I've done searches and can't find anything. I have no idea who it's by. All I know is in french it goes (and the spelling is probably wrong) Jo lavoue, ju lavoue, ju lavoue se dira. Eh la la la. ju lavoue de ray. Ill na pasa lu suncuza. In english the words go something like there's a poor man in the village.... any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

 I believe the song you might be referring to is "Je ne l'ose dire" by pierre certon? gl! :-)

Oh my goodness! I have had that song in my head for years! We sang it in Jr. high choir class but ours was in Spanish, I believe. It was like (sounded out as you did since I do not know Spanish) Illi billah bo bo bo, senara...
