Looking for answers to resolve my confusion...?

This is an honest question, its nothing more.

I always thought that a bra size of A or B is for small breasted girls and larger girls wear D, DD and up etc and C is middle of the road. Am I right in thinking this is everyone else's thoughts as well?

Well I had previously had 34 B and I got measured and they told me I measured 32D and I thought. WTH they must have meant B?

Anyway, I waited for a while and got measured again in a different place and they also said the same thing. I asked the girl and said its got to be wrong and she said its not the letter its the number that changes the breast size.

For instance, a girl wearing a 32B will be smaller than a girl wearing a 36B. She also told me about fitting into the cup and double breasted things etc.

I wanted to know does everyone else know and understand this? I did not and I'm still confused.

More to the point, I feel out of place picking up a 32D bra when I feel so small... almost ashamed. I'd love to have confidence and feel I should almost get measured again because they've made mistakes?

Thanks

  1. Accept it and move on. It's not the end of the world. Embrace your figure. Just not in public...

  2. I do not think 2 different shops would have both got it wrong. You have nothing to feel ashamed of, stand tall and be proud babe. People pay serious money for b***s. As for the whole size thing, I'm 27 and it still confuses me :)

  3. what you have been told is correct.  The number 23, 24, 26 etc is the measurement around your body the bigger the number the bigger the person. The cup size a b c d is relative to the back size. so a 32d is smaller than a 34d or 36d.  As you were wearing a 34B and you are only a 32 your cup size will increase as your back measurment has gone down so yep sounds like there right :+)

  4. I've always thought AA/A is small, B/C is medium and D/DD is large.

  5. Hey there,

What she probably said, but you misinterpretted is this.

The number stands for  the size around the bust, so for example where the strap goes. And the letter dictates the size of the actual breast itself. So, for instance, i'm quite small framed, so i wear a 32. However, my bust size is actually an E cup.

It's common for women to underestimate the size of their b***s, however, often, the womans b***s are bigger than they thought when they get them measured.

You've got them measured in two different places, and they both say the same, so just be happy that you are so well endowed and feel proud :)
