Looking for apartment, can I expect to have to pay first and last months rent (and of course damage deposit)?

yes, you will have to pay first and last month rent plus security deposit.  so save up!

Yes.  Expect to pay first, last & security.  Some apartments will also require a pet deposit...if you have a pet.

It all depends on the owner. Some owners let you pay a deposit and only the first month's rent. You then have to pay for the next month on the first of the month.
