Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north.

i was just in barcelona last summer and we stayed at a great hotel right smack dab in the middle of the city. Beautiful lobby views, and ammenities. the name is "Hotel Catalonia" look it up on the interent or sumthing, it is very nice
