  1. It is a Pipevine swallowtail, Battus philenor. Pipevines are imitated by female dark phase Tiger swallowtails. Where as the former are distasteful, the Tigers are not. So by mimicking the Pipevines they can fool predators. Cool huh? Great pic also. :)
