  1. Honda Civic Small & Great on Gas  :]]

  2. Get her a Toyota RAV4 as that would be an ideal compromise.

  3. when i turned 16 (2 years ago) i got a chevy blazer as my first car. we bought it cause it is safe and the 4 wheel drive is GREAT for winter. i haven't had any problems with it except it takes a lot of gas to fill. but i would reccommend them anyday. they're great SUV's.

  4. get maybe a nissan or if your not so big on money get a suburau because they tend to be cheaper. go with the small car since its good on gas mileage! =D also look into purchasing a toyota yaris because it gets 40 mpg =D

  5. With the price of gas I would stick with a small car...the new Honda Civics are nice...and I hear they're great cars...The used ones are nice as well...They're cheap and great on gas...you can't go wrong!!

  6. cars good on fuel - look at honda civic, vw beetle (has excellent crash ratings), small saturns....

  7. for a car a Hyundai accent their good on gas

and we have a jeep patriot for our 16 year old it good on gas for an SUV type thing it is 4 cylinder for a 16 year old i would go with that

  8. I think that the Toyota 4Runner is too much vehicle for a 16 year old.

Go with a Mazda5 or Mazda3 5door, great warranty on new or used.

My teen handles it just fine.

  9. sounds good.

  10. a  CR-V (not nessacarly the newest model. those are really good.)

a  matrix (I think they are by toyota)

    a Buik LaCrosse

    Chevrolet Colbalt

    Chevrolet Malibu

  11. Why don't you just get her a Lambo? She is 16 after all!!!!!!

  12. I find the idea of putting a16 year old in an SUV quite scary. People might say it is a safe car because it is solid but what about everyone else's safety. I would say for a first car you should stick to something like a Yaris or a Civic as other people have said as it will be reliable and economical and safer for a new driver to be in

  13. If your buying a car for your 16 year old daughter there are two ways i would go.

One would be to get her a small car. As far as small cars, something like the Honda Civic or Honda Accord would do perfectly. Both cars are safe, most Civics get about 35mpg, some get closer to 40. They are great, reliable cars, and they pretty safe and solid. A car thats probably a little more safer is a Honda Accord, it has more space then a Civic, its gas is a little less, they get about 30mpg highway. It's still not bad, way better than an SUV.

The other way to go is give her the truck she wants. I had a 4Runner, it was a great car. If your getting a used one i suggest you get one that's 1996 or newer. I had a 95 and my brother in law had a 98. The 98 was better, it drove a little better and it had better safety features. Also the 98 looked better than my 95 did lol. They are great cars, they get OK gas mileage, but they are SUV's, so it doesn't get as good as a small car and it can be expensive to fill up. The 4Runner is definitely is a solid car though, it would be safer than a sedan in most cases and it would make a great car for your daughter.

If the 4Runner is what your daughters wants, and you can afford the gas, go for it. They make great cars, very reliable and safe. It was by far the best SUV i have owned. it was rock solid, i put that car through so much and it never gave out!!! I sold it to a local guy and i still see it around, great SUV!

  14. Chevy Cobalt. Small, cheap, well built, good on gas and surprisingly powerful (260 hp with 32 mpg). The only problem is that most of them have manual transmissions.

I drive a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus LXi and it gets great gas mileage and runs fine. The Cirrus is nice considering it was made from 1995 to 2000. You'll have to get one used, but they are durable. Mine has gone through 3 student drives, gone airborne at least twice and has over 130,000 miles, sat in a barn for 3 years, was home to half a dozen mice and runs like a dream, getting 20 and 29 mpg EPA (but I get 25 and 36).
