any one know where there is a stockist of quality chess sets in yorkshire area or there roundabouts. I have found many on internet but im interested in going to look before i buy.

Have you tried toy and game stores such as Toys R Us, Argos and The Entertainer. It might be also worth a try checking ebay, some have 7 day return policies so if you dont like it send it back.
