The calls get very static and conversations break up when I am outside the building. I have a retail garden business and am always away from the base. I have tried vtech dect 6.0 and panasonic kx-tg1032. all have same results. Is there something out there with maybe a signal booster that I can mount onto the building for a stronger signal. Or perhaps an industrial/commercial phone that is used in factories/plants

  1. Perhaps look into a DECT6 Repeater (range extender):

However, these products seem to only be available in UK, which implies not legal in USA...

Otherwise, if the building has a window facing outside area you want better access too, place the base unit next to or directly in front of the window (perhaps on a shelf in front of window).  This will give radio waves direct access through a window and thus better coverage to outside the building.

Otherwise, (this is hit and miss) place base unit next to wall closest to area you want better coverage to.  Drill small hole through wall.  Take insulated electrical wire (only need 18 - 24 gauge), just long enough to wrap a few turns around base unit antenna (or base unit itself, if no visible antenna); run other end of wire through hole in wall;  extend out other side of wall 6 - 12 inches so that it can re-radiate RF energy on other side of wall.  This could be just enough to give a little better range through walls.....

Try adjusting the loose end of wire (on outside of bldg) in different orientations to see if it imporves reception to remote phone...
