I'm desperate for just a few dozen daffodils in October for a Michigan, USA wedding. I know they're spring flowers, and impossible to obtain. I just wondered if anyone else had any luck obtaining out-of-season flowers from overseas, or knows any hints on locating off-season flowers.

Thanks so much.

  1. Try getting them from an online wholesaler who buys from places around the world

I used Grower's Box for my wedding- the flowers were perfect.

You could also try getting some bulbs and seeing if you can force them but there's no guarantee if you don't have experience

    Your other option is silk

  2. Most florists will be able to get you whatever flowers you want, regardless of the time of year. They will be a little bit more expensive though.

  3. You could always go for silk. In the chilly weather, they will look great the entire time.

  4. Daffodils are really out of season in October as you know and importing them is really risky. They have a short life in-season and can be very fragile once they're cut, particularly in warmer weather.

I would suggest talking to these folks about trying to find some. If they can't help you with daffodils, maybe they can come up with some nice alternatives.

    Good luck!

  5. Go see a florist--they will be able to get this for you.  Keep in mind though that it will cost a good deal of money since they are out of season and will have to be shipped from elsewhere.

  6. I'm getting married in October too, but next October and I haven't decided on flowers yet, but it's going to cost you a great deal of money to get out of season flowers, because you will have to pay for the shipment price too.

I'm getting married in october, because summer is too hot and spring I would die because of allergies! So I think October is the perfect time to get married! =)
