Looking for daycare provider, which is better?

I am looking for a babysitter for one day out the week and I was wondering in your opinion which would you chose and why - having the sitter come to your home or bringing the kids to the sitters home? A daycare center is not an option for me due to me needing evening care. Also, how can I perform a background check on a potential care provider?

  1. Your home if its convenient for you. Know that this will cost more because of traveling to and from everyday. You can do background checks online and the price varies. But just have them fill out a generic application with their DL# and SS#

  2. Your house would be the better option for your child.  He or she is used to that house.  So if it's better for the child that's what  you should do, bottom line.  I'm not sure how to do a background check.  But it's great that you want to do one, that's a really good idea.

  3. I would much rather have the sitter in my home. You can't control the environment at the sitter's home. Even if the sitter is quite responsible who is to say that the visiting brother is?

  4. Yes, I would muc rather have them come to my home! That is where your child is more comfortable, and seeing how it will be in the evening, that way you don't have to drive anywhere else to pick him/her up. I would ask for references and actually call them! Make sure she has worked in that field before... and even check if she is certified for CPR. Good luck and God bless
