Looking for fancy restaurants in and around Toronto/Mississauga/North York area.?

looking for a nice place to go for an anniversary... somewhere preferably with a dress code

Centro -- Continental -- Use to be an in spot with Toronto's well-off. Haven't been there in some time but excellent food.

Scaramouche -- Italian -- Excellent food

Susur -- fusion -- I don't like this style of food but friends who do love this place

Barbarians -- Steak -- best steak house in my opinion. Same price as Morton's / Ruth's / Hy's but better although those three are also great choices. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Canoe -- Little of Everything -- You go or the view. Much better than the CN Tower restaurant and you still get the same view. Popular with Bay st workers. The hours have gone kind of wonky. Last few times I was in Toronto it was closed for private parties.

Coppi - Italian -- really good

Spuntini - Italian -- again excellent

Ultra - Trendy -- This is one of those places where the food is good but not amazing. That being said it is a very trendy and popular place. Popular with visiting celebs.

Toronto has countless good restaurants. You should have no problem. If you post price range and food style it might help. The places I listed tend to be expensive. With wine expect at least $175-200 and probably closer to $300-500 for two people.
