  1. I agree with the CR-V poster, although there's still not a ton of space. Honestly, a mini van is the best bet in terms of having space, moving seats around, creating space, safety, and gas mileage. However, many people refuse to go the mini van route.

  2. i had a ford explorer. It was killing me with the gas. Before i had my son we traded it for a chrysler 300. i love it!! it has lots of space it's luxurious and it does 28 mpg!

  3. When I had my son, I traded my sports car (mitsubishi eclipse) in for a Honda CR-V.  Best decision I've ever made.  The gas mileage is decent... And there's plenty of room to take everything I need and still have room for passengers in the car.  :)

  4. I drive a four door chevy cavalier and it gets 32 mpg and I only paid 1100 for it (and it only had 80 thousand miles on it)

  5. Kia Spectra very good gas mileage ( I have a 2003 and get 25 city 34 highway) very good for room. It has a large trunk. very good for families up to 2 children after that you might want to consider a minivan.

  6. I'm not sure that exist, lol.  I sure miss my 4Runner but love my Corolla's gas mileage.  There are so many different safety features on different types of cars and some cars are safer than others in certain collisions (and you never know which kind you may be involved in).  I'm a Toyota junkie (LOL) but would be willing to buy something different if it were safer (and had good gas mileage).  I know, from experience, I felt safer (overall) in my SUV but, then again, I don't have to worry about a rollover as much now.

You could always consider a Hybrid.
