  1. Only drivers or complete in an enclosure?

For Stereo or for Home Theater System?

The answer depends on the complete question.

  2. Good God I was going to recommend Boston Acoustics...and Infinity.

It really comes down to, we all have our preferences, and it's MUCH EASIER if you spent a Saturday at a local Audio Store deciding which ones you like....

It's what we used to do to decide....I think it's still a valid source of speaker knowledge....

  3. You can only decide what sounds good to you.

As for build quality and what I feel are good speakers...

Definitive Technology are my preferred choice.

Otherwise,Mirage, Klipsch, Paradigm, Polk Audio. to name a few. You will get many biased answers here because speakers are so much of a personal taste purchase.

Decide your budget and go have a listen... Get the best you can for your money. If you stick to the speakers mentioned above you can not go wrong.

  4. I like Klipsch and I would stay as far away from Bose as humanly possible.  However it all comes down to what sounds best to you.

  5. klipsch has some really nice speaker for a not to expensive price but is still in the moderate price range your looking for they will put out a really nice sound. If you are look for a package of speakers go with bose they put out a really nice sound as well there are a lot of option but those two I find to put out really nice sound and isn't to high of a price range. Also Yamaha is another option to go with you can look at different electronics stores and the prices will be different and some electronics stores will be cheaper than others!!

  6. JBL, Athena, Klipsch, PSB all are good values and good sounding - You might want to pick up a copy of Sound & Vision (or other A/V magazine) Buyers' Guide to Components or go to one of the websites from audio magazines like Home Entertainment, Sound & Vision, The Absolute Sound, or Stereophile, etc... and pull up the reviews they have available online. That should help, but the best way is to go to a store like Best Buy that has some different brands on hand for you to listen to. Then pick the best sounding one you can afford and enjoy.

  7. I bought myself a set of paradigm and I love them. PSB are nice too it all depends on what 'MODERATELY' means to you.
