  1. SJ gave good advice but I have one addition to that.  contact your doctor that prescribed the medication and explain you are having trouble paying for it.  many times there is an older drug that works just as well that is much cheaper that they can prescribe, or they may have enough samples on hand to get you through. Doctors often prescribe the latest drug because it is on their minds because of drug sales rep visit or whatever. Doctors don't always know how much some drugs cost and unless you tell them, they won't find out either.

  2. call the health dept. of your county... you may be able to find out on the phone if you qualify for any assistance... if you can't find out over the phone you may have to set up an appointment to go in person. It can be a long process waiting in line to see if you are approved but even if you get some aid, something is better than nothing and it should be worth the wait. I know that Wal-Mart has hundreds of medicines available for $4. I would call and ask them about that list of inexpensive meds. If all else fails the salvation army may be able to help you or goodwill. If they can't directly provide you with assistance they may have some other places to refer you to.

  3. so are you soliciting for donations?

No thanks...I already give a lot to charity.
