  1. Hodak's is the place

  2. you can try stlouis.citysearch.com or something like that.

    good luck!

I like the fried chicken at RT Wilers.  It's in historic st charles sort of close to Lewis & Clarks

  3. I live in Texas so I don't know if y'all have one, but here we have KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and it is really good.   :)     and yes we really do say "y'all" all the time!   :)

Oops! My bad. I didn't see the (not fast food) part until I already wrote this, so I'm gonna post it anyway.   :)

There's a resteraunt called "Cracker Barrel". I put their site on the sources for you. Hope you like it! I sure do!   :)

  4. I would suggest going to saucemagazine.com which lists a great deal of restaurants in the St.Louis area (including St.Charles county). You can search by type of restaurant/food.  I've also had luck using riverfronttimes.com for their restaurant guide.

Sorry I don't have specific suggestions for a restaurant in that area of that type, but hopefully you can find one using these websites. They've helped me find great mexican and italian places in the past.

  5. If you feel like a little road trip, you could try Hodak's on Gravois/12 th Street and Russell, almost downtown, or Gallagher's in Waterloo.  Hodak's is cheap and serves huge portions, very laid back atmostphere, kind of between Applebees and a neighborhood bar.  Gallagher's is more expensive, serves family style, and that chicken dinner is only on Sunday.  You need a reservation there.

  6. Not in St. Charles but Porters on Big Bend (just south of Manchester) is WONDERFUL.  We like it better than Hodaks as it is generally spicier and crispier!
