Looking for hypoallergenic stuff to use instead of toxic paraben soaps ? Any ideas?

Is pears a good brand? Does anyone know where to buy "pears" brand stuff? like their facial cleanser and, body wash, they just stopped selling it near my house.

I learned of an ingredient list of toxins in cosmetics, and soaps, and detergents to avoid and pears is pretty good but I don't know where to buy it for cheap like the place near my house?

Believe it or not, lye soap is hypoallergenic.  It only contains 3 ingredients (water, lard, and lye).  The process of making the soap causes a chemical reaction between the lye and the fat to make glycerin and it renders the lye inert.  

My husband has an allergy to detergents of all kinds, and we have been trying for years to find something that doesn't break him out.  I finally bought a bar of "Grandma's Lye Soap" at the drugstore, and finally it worked.  His skin cleared up.  I have since started making my own.  It costs about $8 to make 40 bars of soap.  And I found a recipe for laundry detergent that uses the home made soap as a main ingredient.  So I can make over 2 gallons of laundry detergent for about 80 cents.  

My kids have been using the lye soap to wash their faces and it has even cleared up their teen age acne issues.  

And the very best part about using lye soap is that there are no phosphates in it at all.  Hydrogen dioxide(water) sodium hydroxide(lye) and the fats are all hydrogen, oxygen and carbon.  So it is very very biodegradable.  I have heard that you can even use it as fish bait.  Go figure.

I know that you can get lots of home made soaps on ebay for next to nothing so you might want to check it out.

Believe it or not, there are many hypoallergenic products out there. just read the labels, it's usually on the front of the product.
