Question:

Looking for info on "Tiny" Vans?

Can anyone tell me about tiny vans that resemble "scaled down" minivans? They are licensed for on-road use. I've seen a couple in the past, but have never had the time to stop and examine them, nor to identify them. I'd like to know who makes (or made) them and perhaps acquire one someday. Any info or links would be appreciated.

  3. I think you might mean the Smart Car:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smart_(auto...

They are itty-bitty and adorable, but very small - they can only hold two people, as there is no back seat.  Some are hybrids and some are all electric.  They have been criticized for their relatively slow speeds (I think the top speed they can reach is about 80), and while they are designed to withstand a pretty serious crash (keeping the passengers relatively safe), there isn't much weight to the car to keep it from going flying when struck.

    Hope that helps!
