It is a 27' bike that I know nothing about other than it appears to be over 10 years old.

  1. best to post a link to a picture of it...try searching ebay for completed items (if u have ebay) to see what comparable bikes sold for.

  2. Is it a VISTA CARERRA or a CARERRA VISTA? Both have been made, but I think I can help you weed this out.

The Carerra Vista, to my knowledge, was built only for the UK market and sold by Halfords. I am not absolutely certain how long this particular model was made, but 27" wheels (pretty much across the planet) were abandoned as production items about, um, 1985- maybe a bit later.

If it is a Vista Carerra, this bike is MUCH more than 10 years old- probably closer to 30 years old. I am pretty certain that Vista disappeared just about the time Trek came on the scene about 1975-76. I can still remember the advertisements with a little frog furiously pedalling away on a Vista bike.

In either case, the bike is probably not worth more than $20 or so unless it has some key high end parts on it.
