  1. hi yes i remember him well i have not seen him for at least 100 years

  2. If you found him on the 1891 census ( " last known 1891 " census you will know his age Check on Scotlands People for a death or marriage and see if he is in the 1901 census . Also check out both electoral rolls and valuation rolls ( domestic rates were applicable then ) in the Mitchell Library Glasgow .

  3. I am related to the Watson family and a lot of them originated in the Glasgow area. However, without further information...everyone will find it hard to help you. Try:

    http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/

Register for free and build your family tree up...someone may contact you. If you pay a small fee, you can access other's trees and census records.

    Good Luck!

  4. The scotlandspeople website will give you documentary evidence for £6 for 30 credits.  This allows you to look up census or birth, death and marriage certs which then give you a lot of information about the parentage etc of the person involved.  It is well worth spending the money if it is important to you to find out about an ancestor from Scotland.

  5. You really haven't given enough information re: W .Watson, from Gallowgate. The first information we would need is a birth date, you have given a 100 year time period for the researcher to search. You haven't given a christian name, that is probably the most important identifying  detail for any one in the world. If you were to edit your question and include some more detailed information you may  get some help with this.

    Hope this helps..
