We've done extensive research on our home and have come up against a road block. Dulcinia Brawner owned our property in Pittsburgh, PA from 1837 until her death in 1876. She was born in NC but we cannot find any records on her. She had no children, and was listed in the 1850 census as single, musician. She left her estate to a Nancy Twomey and seven children in Michigan. I find it fascinating that a single woman built our home, and the one next to us during that time, and would love to discover more.
