Looking for lessons to help mentally handicapped boy with sexual obsession?

I am working with an 18 year old mentally handicapped boy (more like an 8 year old) 4 hours per week. He is fixated on girls, however he approaches them inappropriately.

I have no answers for you but I do have a friend who was having issues with her mentally challenged Step son.  They could never leave him alone with their 3 yr old daughter and it was a nightmare....

The issue here is more than approaching girls inappropriately.  This can lead to more serious issues.

I have a male family member who mentally retarded and about the same mental age.  He was never taught sexual behavior.  The tragic result was that he was arrested for offending a minor.  The law will not see people with mental handicaps as their mental age; they ONLY look at their physical age.  He is now a registered s*x offender, not a predator, remains in counseling 11 years after his only offense and lives with me & my husband.  This is the only assurance that our family has that he remains supervised to protect him.

If you work with the mentally handicapped long enough, you will sadly learn that there are far too many people who will take advantage of them if they are not constantly supervised.

10/30--Talk to the boy's parents and any other responsible adult who is around him daily.  Encourage them to teach him what is inappropriate.  Show him what is correct.  Without being taught, he'll find his own way of 'connecting' with the first female that will show interest.
