I know for a fact that my birth mother was living in Ward End, Birmingham whilst pregnant with me. This was in 1967. Her name was June Alice Andrews and was approximately 34 years old, and worked as a machine opperative at a car factory. Any help in tracing her would be very much appreciated. Thankyou

  1. That name rings a bell. I think I spoke to her on myspace. Try myspace or blackplanet. I'm sure she's up there. Good Luck.

They can help you track somebody down..

if not then here's the google site for the search under you'r Mother's name :http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=na...

    If it dosn't work e-mail me: Cuteswimmer@gmail.com

    Good luck :)

  3. Do you know who handled the adoption? I would start there they will send a letter to your birth mother......you can also sign up for a registry and if your birth mother is looking for you the two of you can hook up that way also....I found my sister (my mom gave her up for adoption 4 years before I was born) My mom was thrilled and after she read the letter to me I said oh she wants a sister and I was right because now we are living next door to each other.....

  4. From the other answers, I don't believe that anyone realizes that this is a UK search.

Did you have your records opened and receive any other information regarding her.  Was she married, divorced, did she have siblings?  I looked in the UK birth index for her to trace siblings and there are some June's born 1933 but no June Alice's or June A.

Birth marriage and death records are available at ancestry.com or findmypast.com.  Ancestry.com has some of the files on their free search but others require a monthly fee.  Not sure if it is available to you in the UK.  findmypast is a fee based site as well.

    good luck in your search

  5. I always recommend people contact the adoption agency. They can contact your birth mother and ask if she is interested.

I think a surprise contact isn't fair if she doesn't want to be found.

  6. good luck on your search!! alabama has open records right? awsome job on tracking her this far!! i just wanted to congratulate you on getting this far! you must be one good bloodhound! lmao.

I I use this link alot when helping people search, i took it to the alabama section for you incase theres any marriage records there for her, that could help you find her married last name and possibly search via that: http://www.blackbookonline.info/bboal.ht...

but not everybody gets married lmao, so i'd also be inclined to try US SEARCH ( but don't pay ) or Intellius ( don't pay ) and just use them to get a direction on where to go in your search.

From there its helpful to get a free name and address finder once you can track a possible match to a state then take the free searching links and try and find her that way:

I visit www.AdultAdoptees.org frequently so if you need more help look for me there!

    Goodluck!

  7. Sorry - no clues on the search aspect - as I'm in Australia - but a word of advice - contact her yourself - DO NOT get others to contact on your behalf.

(searching on your behalf is fine - just the contact part is really important)

This is between you and her.

    Others should not be involved.

In the many many cases that I know of search and reunions in adoption - when others become involve in the 'contact' - things get really messy.

I wish you all the very best.

    Poss. xx
