Hi I am new to this & I need a little help. my father was in the Korean War, about 10 years ago he had a fire in the basement and all his army items as well as other items burned. He still talks about his official army picture, you know the one they take of you when you join the army. Now is there anyway i can get ahold of a copy of that picture anywhere? My father is going to be 75 and i know he would love to see that picture of him so many years ago....... Thank god all of his medals & ribbons were upstairs when he had that fire..but that picture of him is gone. any ideas? thank you....

  1. see if u can take it to a place a picture place to restore it   look at the army records from that time  or ask his friends they might be able to help with the pic..  justa thought  get it framed and make a poster of him   for his b-day  i would if  i had a father.

  2. I know you can get a copy of his military record from the National Archives, but I don't know if the picture is in that. They'd know where to look, though. Try here:
