  1. At 16, he is not of age yet.  If he is in TX, he is a legal adult at the age of 18 but can legally live on his own at the age of 17.

Have you searched myspace or other similar sites?

  2. Sorry, but that doesnt give us any info to help us help u...

Sorry.. give us more info plz and i hope i can help.

  3. Go back to the original judge and reopen your case.  If you are a fit parent now and have done everything that was demanded from you - they can not withhold the child from you.

  4. I have dealt with the state a lot.  I adopted my son through them.  If the state isn't willing to give up the info on your son then there is a reason.  If he wasn't adopted then they still have him in foster care.  The state will not give you that information in till he is 18 if then.  You might have to wait a couple more years for him to contact you.  A lot of those kids are angry and, wont want to deal with the past hurts.  i hope for whatever reason your son was taken that you have gotten help for so when he dose come you are better to deal with his questions.

  5. cant you call cps and see where he was sent?

  6. Well, if he is of age he can contact you if he so chooses.  I do not think that you will be given any information as far as where he is now.

You could possibly put an ad in the local paper or such.  But it would be best for you to let him contact you when he chooses (if ever, depending on the circumstances).

  7. Not to be cruel, but your words are misleading.  Your behavior led to your children being removed from your custody -- not CPS.  They had to more than document, over and over, that your children were not being taken care of properly, or that they were being abused.  Therefore, the state had to remove them from you, for their safety and well being.  This is the legal basis for terminating a birthmother's rights.  Anything else is highly illegal and more than likely did not happen.  Unfortunately, states usually bend over backwards to give birthparents chance after chance after chance to get things back on track.  Many times, they wait way too long.

If your son wants to get back in touch with you, he more than likely knows how at age 16.  It may be best for him for you to leave well enough alone.  Or, go for some counseling before you really put out public information about your children on the internet.  Then if you still feel justified in your search, go through the proper channels -- the Adoption Registry in Texas.  If he is also looking for you, they will connect you.

    Good luck to you!
