Looking for new bike?

i want to purchase a new bike i do short rides(under 10miles) and was wondering if anybody had recomendations on a bike the only preferences i have is for it to be light(100lbs or less) and for it to be geared and be atleast 24" and upHave $100-150 to spend

100lbs!?!?! well i would suggest checking out craigslist for that, Unfortunately in your price range you have either a choice of a wallyworld bike or an ok used bike on eBay or craigslist.

For a comfortable cruising bike on short trips (10 miles or less, like you said) I would get an electra cruiser. There several models with 3-7 speeds. Totally adequate for short rides. It might be a little more than $150 - but not much. You might be able to find a used one on cragslist . I just sold mine on there.
