Question:

Looking for new golf clubs....any suggestions?

I am in the process of looking for new clubs, and was wondering some inexpensive irons that I could purchase. This is all I really need to complete my set and I don't need anything spectacular, just something to get me by. I'm on a budget, so any irons with forgiveness on the course and in my wallet would be nice. (I am not asking for people to ask me what my handicap or my ability is, I'm just looking for a good set of cheap irons.)

  1. You might want to check out this article;

    Also a good online discount store; http://www.golfstorediscount.com/Golf/Cl...

  2. I would recommend visiting Golf Galaxy if there is one in your area and look at the used clubs.  They have a lot of top of the line iron sets used that are much less expensive than a new set so you get quality clubs at a bargain price.

  3. I suggest you browse Rock Bottom Golf's selection of iron sets. They may not have every make or model, but the prices on what they do have are outstanding. If you use coupon code Slick10Off during checkout you'll get an extra 10% off your order total.

    Here are some irons that they have that may be what you're looking for:

    Adams GT 500 4-LW Irons (Steel $149, Graphite $169)

    Wilson Deep Red Hybrid Irons (Graphite hybrids, steel irons $129)

    Adams Tight Lies Classic Irons (Steel $119)

    Dunlop Tad Moore TM02 Irons (Steel $89)

    Bullet X-4 Hybrid Irons (Steel $89)

  4. Taylormade makes quality clubs for all levels of players.  They are your safest bet.  At least go to a place with a range so you can try them out.

  5. Run down to Academy and pick up a set of Nike irons. Inexpensive and user friendly. Pick up a set of Cleveland's when your budget allows.

  6. I'd suggest buying a used set, that way you'll get more for your money. Start with the yellow pages and place a few calls to see what your local area offers. Either try eBay, Play-it-Again-Sports, your local Golf Discount, yard/estate sales and even some Pro Shops have previously owned clubs. If you want "New", most manufacturers make a cheap set. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

    I personally like the Titleist clubs but you might enjoy Callaway, Ping, Wilson, and many others.

    hope this helps :)
