Looking for old knitting patterns

Need a pattern for a 2 yr old girls cardigan called carnival. Made of 4 ply wool. It is a rainbow feather and fan type pattern. from around 1951. I only have one page of the pattern

  1. Both Mary Maxim and Annie's Attic stock classic patterns.  They both have websites, so I'd suggest checking there first.  There may be old pattern sites, too.  If there are, you could find them through Google or Dogpile.


  2. Consider checking on e-bay, especially for a little magazine called

    "Workbasket"   Many of the patterns of that era came from Workbasket.



    Ebay and Craigslist have areas for crafts, and you can type in knit / crochet patterns to narrow your search

  3. Try searching on eBay. I've found things on there I thought didn't exist anymore, it's great.

    It may be there, not sure as I haven't gone through her children's knit patterns. But she has lots of old patterns on there.
