Looking for opinion about traveling in Spain by car?

My wife and I arw planing a trip to Spain in late April. We really want to go to Seville, Cadiz and Barcelona. We would like advise about places to stop in between and if anyone knows if the trip will be enjoyable by car or if we should consider other means. We just want to enjoy the food, wine, culture and country and are not too hung up on needing to hit meseums.

Any sort of itenrary ot suggestios for a 9 day, 9 night tripis greatly appreciated. THanks.

I was in Spain a few years ago and I did a tour package. It was good saw a lot of musems and cathedrals that frankly got boring after awhile,but in a nutshell it was basically a no brainer because the tour guide handled everything. Probably good for the 1st timer, but next time around I would rent a car and probably stay in one or two cities. My preferance would be the Andalusian region which includes Sevilla, Cadiz, Haen, if I'm not mistaken there is a big festival in Sevilla around April.

I would stay few extra days in Barcelona because I think it's a perfect destination for a relaxing holiday. You have plenty of things to do in Barcelona, during the day and all the night long, because this is one of the cities that never sleeps. You shouldn't miss Gaudi's works, the true art that is associated with Barcelona. You should take advantage of the good and famous restaurants to spend an evening in a lovely atmosphere. And if you feel like it, I suggest you "pay a visit" to the sandy beaches, if I may say so. You have plenty of things to do, so enjoy!
