  1. I have many years of experience working with disabilities in care, treatment and education. For what you want to do would require at least an RN to suppervise the program. Faclities that are set up hire CNA's for the caregiving work. I worked buth as a unit supervisor, program director and also provided private caregiving services on my own. I do not have a CNA, but Red cross can help you with some of the cirtification, and some local colleges offer CNA classes that can be 30 to 90 days. So you complete the class, get certification and apply with the state for the CNA license. From there, you can continue your education to become an LPN or RN.  The CNA, LPN and RN all require education and hands on trainning, licenses need to be renewed periodically and sometime additional college courses are required on going.

Other then that, your facility would need to be up to code for handicapped; check with local zoning for what you would need.

An administrator would be a useful staff member to manage payments; set up prop[erly you would be able to collect directly from insurance companies or from medicade.
