Looking for quick, efficient car, any suggestions?

Okay so I'm in my second year of undergrad, I'm looking for a new car. I currently drive a Mazda3 Grand Touring. I love the car, all the luxury and stuff, but just doesnt have any thrill.

So I'm looking for a sportier car.

-I test drove a Honda S2000, but its not practical for winter.

-Honda Preludes are getting old now.

-Really interested in the Honda Civic SI

Just want suggestions of any other cars people would recommend for me. Thanks!

Get the S2000 and the optional hardtop. Then go buy a set of spare wheels with winter tires and swap them out when the weather gets ugly! These things are a hoot!

Toyota MR2, 2nd and 3rd gen (fuel efficient and quick, dunno how that happened)

Mini Cooper (AWD)

Mitsubishi Lancer (FWD or AWD on the EVO, kinda efficient)

Subaru Impreza (AWD, decently efficient)

Honda or Acura Integra, DC2 (FWD)

Honda or Acura RSX, DC5 (FWD)

Toyota Celica

2008 Chevy Cobalt SS faster than the SI at about the same price and the same MPGs. I would deffinatly look into it. G6 GWP also seems promising in the performance catagory with around 60 more horses than the SI
