I Want to do some free lance work, but I am not sure who to contact. Anyone know of a legitamite company or websiste that is looking for freelance writers? Please, nothing that will require a down payment

There are hundreds of websites on the Internet that will pay you to write. You will not get rich overnight, but if you can master the process and discover an audience, you can do quite well, as I do. Here are a couple of websites you should try:

The freelance sites that I'm aware of are:

I've never personally worked with any of these sites, but I know others that have. As far as I can tell, none of them charge you and they all seem to have writing jobs of some sort on them. You might also consider offering your services on classified sites, such as Craigslist.
