  2. In the Philippines, try in Bohol island.

  3. If your family are interested in Asia, I'd definitely recommend Thailand.

Bangkok - Things to do in Bangkok that your kids might like - klong tour (boat trip around the canals - you can go to see the Royal Barge Museum, various wats); Joe Louis Puppet Theater; Lumpini Park in the late afternoon; Siam Ocean World (indoors with air con!).

Bangkok hotel - It is nice to stay on the river and I think with your children good to stay in a place with a nice pool. the Marriott bangkok resort and spa http://www.discovery-thailand.com/Hotels...  (You can book hotel with great discount online, up to 80% off.  live chat agent is also available)

is a great choice and the reason for that is that it is more of a resort type hotel, fantastic pools and also a kids club. Staying on the river is a great way as well to orientate yourself in the city. You can use the express boat system & skytrain to travel around too.

Pattaya is also a great place for family travel. There are far too many attractions to list, but anything and everything is here: aquarium, wildlife parks, elephant treks, go karting, water parks, beaches, boat rides, boat tours, video arcades, fun restaurants, reasonably priced shopping, and hundreds of other things and places to go. All reasonably priced. Also Mini Siam park, a few botanical gardens, and day boat trip to Koh Larn, 20 minutes by speedboat 400 baht one way, or 45 minutes by ferry boat... boats leaving from Bali Hai pier, just past Walking Street... boats leave about once an hour. Koh Larn is beautiful, like paradise... almost.

    Have a nice trip!
