i am looking for a recipe for mackinac island fudge.

cookies and cream.

maple nut.

maybe a vanilla white chocolate?

  1. Mackinac Island Fudge

    1/2 cup milk

    1/2 cup butter

    1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

    1/2 cup granulated sugar

    1/8 teaspoon salt

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    2 cups confectioners’ sugar

    1/2 cup nuts (optional)

    Mix milk, butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and salt in heavy pan. Cook at medium heat until boiling. Boil exactly 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and confectioners’ sugar. Beat with mixer until smooth and thick. Add nuts, if desired. Pour into a buttered pan and freeze 20 minutes. Cut into pieces.

    Makes approximately 1 pound of fudge.

    Peanut Butter Mackinac Island Fudge

    Reduce butter to 1/4 cup and add 1/2 cup peanut butter.

    Chocolate Mackinac Island Fudge

    Use basic recipe, adding 1/2 cup cocoa with the confectioners’ sugar.

    Maple Walnut Fudge

    3 cups granulated sugar

    1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) butter

    1 (5 ounce) can Carnation evaporated milk (2/3 cup)

    1 (12 ounce) package white chocolate chips

    1 (7 ounce) jar Kraft Marshmallow Creme

    2 teaspoons maple extract

    1 cup chopped walnuts

    Line a 9 x 13-inch cake pan with a sheet of foil, then butter it or spray with Pam.

    Into a 3-quart pan put sugar, butter and milk. Over medium high heat, bring to full rolling boil stirring constantly with wooden spoon for about 7-8 minutes until temperature reaches 235 degrees F (candy thermometer is a must).

    Remove from heat and stir in white chocolate chips until melted. Add Marshmallow Creme and maple flavor, stirring in until thoroughly mixed.  Add chopped nuts and pour out into cake pan.

    Cool; lift out of pan using foil and put on cutting board to cut.

    This makes a creamy delicious fudge.

    Cookies & Cream Fudge

    Ingredients:

    3 cups granulated sugar

    3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine

    2/3 cup (5 fl.-oz. can) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk

    2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels

    1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow crème

    1/2 cup finely crushed cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

    1 cup crumbled cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies

    Directions:

    Line 9-inch-square baking pan with foil.

    Combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.

    Stir in morsels, marshmallow crème, finely crushed cookies and vanilla extract. Pour into prepared pan. Sprinkle crumbled cookies on top. Gently swirl cookies into fudge using a knife without touching bottom of pan. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into 48 pieces.
