  1. recommend that you join Daves garden forum, do a search for the plant  euphorbia trigona and add it to your wanted list. great way to swap and trade plants with other people.remember to put in there the area where you live so you get as close to local as is possible and so avoiding quarantine restrictions that may apply.   2. I know that places like Lowes sell the green variety. Maybe you can ask them if the red variety is available. Try your local nursury as well.

  3. One useful piece of info is that it isn't a cactus.  It's more widely known as the African miltk tree or the Cathedral cactus (despite not being a cactus), hangs around in the tropical areas of Southwest Africa, and enjoys impersonating a cactus so as to confuse people.
