Looking for safe reasonably priced areas in London - reasonable distance to Greenwich?

My daughter will be attending University of Greenwich this fall. But, Greenwich is a fairly pricey area, even for a tiny studio, and I don't want her to share a flat with a complete stranger. Any suggestions as to areas which are reasonably priced, reasonably safe and have good transport to Greenwich (dlr line). Thank you very much in advance!

You could take a look at Blackheath, it's a nice, posh and safe(by London standards) area and is slightly cheaper than Greenwich.

Hello, try the Opal 2, McMillan Student Village, London. Seems afforadable and has a good location around greenwich. Rooms are en suite and all as well. Cheers!
