  1. The one you looking for is call Drafting Table. I have one in solid wood for sale. Are you interested? Please email me for more info (frankie_queeny@yahoo.ca)

  2. try a arts and crafts shop, or graphics design shop, they usually have adjustable wrighting/drawing slopes.

  3. They're called 'slope boards' in the UK, which might make looking for one easier!

  4. ask dyspraxia help groups,or schools

  5. Border's sells lap desks for about $20 - they work well - the bottom is a beanbag and the writing surface is large.

  6. I'm not certain where you can get one, but for the time being you might want to buy the largest binder you can find and use it sideways.  My student's occupational therapists uses this when there aren't any slant boards around.

Also, (speaking of slant boards) the OT's made some for my students as well. They used two wooden clipboards and placed them side by side then drilled in a piece of wood underneath by the clip part to where it sits perfectly on a downward lean on the table.  The students can clip their papers while writing on the board so it  stays in place and helps them to write using the correct form.

    Hope this information helps!

  7. School provided my son with a perspex sloping table that sits on top of the desk and one for home they really are good and his handwriting had really improved.  The school SEN can arrange for an assessment.

  8. I don't know if this would help, but it is adjustable.

  9. try your local occuptonal therapy department, we have a disablity living centre here which is gr8 they order what you want to your specifications. I didn't buy a desk for my daughter who has dyspraxia and dyslexia i got her a wedge which she was able to take from class to class, i got it from the disablity shop. you could also try him with one of the newer lap trays the type witha cushion and board.

They also helped me get the grip pens and a roll of grip that she used for her pens and such.

  10. Tables that have a sloping top.  Have you looked at architect desks?  Have you tried graphic design tables?  Those have sloped tops.  You can have them modified to be shorter if you need to.

Anyway, what you are really looking for is called a DRAFTING table.  Here are a bunch of them.  I'm sure you can find something suitable for your son.

Hope one of those works for you!

  11. If your child has a statement your school should provide this. My children needed a sloped surface and in the end we found a writing slope best as it could be carried from class to class.

take a look at this and see if it would fulfill your sons needs, you might find it a better choice and it can also be bought home for homework, though we overcame that by buying one of those multi position TV tables.
