Trying to find jacks for the left, right and center channel speakers to be mounted on wall around a flat panel TV. All I find are full size face plates with 4 pins. Do not want to put 3 of these in my wall.

I want it to be a third of the size and with 2 pins only?

Any help greatly appreciated.

  1. You would not use 3 of the ones you use as example, only two - it has 2 sets of two terminals for 2 speakers.   What you are asking for is roughly "I want to mount nonstandard electrical plates on the wall somehow - since wall plates fit wall boxes - and I want to run 3 wires behind the wall because that is 3 times as costly in labor and repairs than running one 6 or 8 wire cable."

I think what you are remembering is the old 300 ohm TV antenna plug which used such small wiring that nobody in today's world of monster cable would consider using.  It was a small rectangle of plastic with two round pins coming out one of the long edges.

  2. Call me a purist, but I would NEVER break speaker wires at the wall. I'd use a small grommet pass-through.
