hi im looking for some advice on places to live

we've been wanting to move out of essex for ages, but dont know where to move (we rent which is good cos we're not tied)

we cant afford to be too close to london .

we're thinking of (hertfordshire) (surrey) (berkshire) or (middlesex)

we dont really want to go east (kent, essex as we're here already)

at the moment it feels like we'll be stuck in essex forever - we're not originally from here and don't really like it.

we dont drive so its a bit hard to try and visit all of these places/towns to try and decide.

help? ta

  1. I was in Birmingham and recently moved to Bristol, its a wonderful city there's public transport all over the city so you don't need a car, actually we dont have a car, there are about 4 extremely long cycle paths, i go to my school on the bike its 3 miles away and takes 30 minutes,

the neighborhood offices are organized and so far i haven't ever seen them crowded, if you have a family with you, you probably would want to live in fishponds or Clifton, avoid the center, the waterfront and specially South-mead because there WAS a sort of cannabis distribution point there,

schools are a bit crowded but not impossible, however f you moved to fishponds the nearest school is the Metropolitan, you'd probably want to avoid that one, their history isn't quit good, i myself registered the next year with Mangotsfield school and i'm starting my GCSEs in September, there are used furniture warehouses like Emmaus and the sofa project where you can buy affordable furniture if your budget is tight and that's what we did,

I loved this city and the only problem with it is when it rains Snails show up so if you're a gardener you'll have a small problem in front of you :D

    Regards

    Timmy
