Looking for some fun ideas for games etc. for my brothers <span title="fundraiser/benefit..something">fundraiser/benefit..somet...</span> to raise money..?

we are having a benefit/funraiser for my brother in law who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. I am looking for some ideas of things to do at the benfit to raise money. The food is already covered, we are going to have water balloon dodgeball. Just looking for some fun things to do and also raise money.

we are doing a 60/40 raffle for someone at work. this is always good becase people are winning money and they like that.

Having sports to raise money would be a good idea. Competition also motivates people to join in. Make sure that its cheap; most people would not pay to play sports. Try to have soccer matches, baseball games, etc.

I would also have people bid on items they they would like (for example, an auction). Get rid of your old items this way.

A raffle would also be good too.

Set up a some sort of a movie (with a huge screen and projector) and charge people for the movie outdoors complete with chairs, and snacks. (make sure its a good movie or a DVD that you would know that people would enjoy watching).

Set up contests that would appeal to people. Food eatting competitions are always great, you can raise some money for people stuffing their faces. Try to have a pie eatting or the most popular, hotdog eatting contests.

Do a white elephant gift exchange.. everyone brings something used.. *stuff they no longer want or need, and everyone is given #&#039;s when they enter.. (As long as they brought something.. and then when the time comes.. everyone who has a # matching someone else&#039;s exchanges gifts with them.

*Do a auction, or just things that are no longer needed ask people to donate clothing, or what ever they have that is gently used and not needed, you can also do a &quot;garage sale, and let it be open to the public.. hope that helps :)

Raffles ... get some items donated and make up some baskets to be donated....Sell raffle tickets.  Put the baskets on a table, with a bag taped to the table in front of each one.  People put their raffle stubs into the bag in front of the basket that they want to win........

Ask volunteers to volunteer their faces for a pie throwing auction.  Auction off the volunteers face the winner gets to throw a pie at their face whether it be chocolate or mud or whatever.  You&#039;d be surprised what people would pay to throw a pie at someone.  Try to get public figures like you brother&#039;s boss, the mayor etc.

If you know someone with a business that would allow you to sell maybe 1.00 donations such as hearts or any type of paper with their name on it, people seem to buy those well. Also maybe go around to every convenient store and put a pic and his story on a box or jar that may help. As far as the benefit goes you could set up lemonade stands, and call around to every business you can think of just go down the list in the telephone book and ask for a donation such as a free meal, candle, ect. and then have a raffle. I did this for a firend and you would be amazed at how much was donated, in fact we made up 3 different packages and raffled them off at different prices (1.00, 5.00 and 10.00). Your other option would be to auction them off instead of raffle them, silent auctions can be fun too. I hope this helps!
