Looking for somebody who works as a code enforcement officer in a city?

I have a test and an interview to be a code enforcement officer within my local city and was just curious if anyone who works in the field had any pointers or help they can provide. This is a job I have been hoping to have since its in a field I love Thanks so much.

Which codes? I was a Water Service inspector for a major City. I inspected new services and investigated what may be Theft of Service. Being a Plumber made it easy for me to get the job. You must know what the codes are for your area.
