Question

His name was Carl Frederick Hyg. He was born December 19, 1855 and died in 1947. I know his children's surnames are High. He married Anna Matilda Anderson. Their children are Alma Sophia Theodora High, Mabel Eleanora Maria High, Carl Arthur Julius High, Axel Albin Cornelius High, Esther Matilda Leontina High, Oscar Abel Theodore High, Leon Edwin Emanuel High, John Oliver Victor High, Robert Frederick Walfred High, Anna Martha Viola High, Elva Alice Evangeline High, Edna Florence Olive High, Wilma Eunice Dorothea High, Earl Lawrence Knute High, and Lenore Elaine Elizabeth High (yes, there were 15 kids).

I am looking for his parents (and farther back). All I know besides what I put above is that:

"Moving out" records found in Swedish archives indicate that Karl Fredrick Hyg left Sweden for Amerika on September 2, 1877. He went to Lacon, Illinois, where his older sister Mathilda and brother John had been working for a year.

I am assuming everything is correct, though it might not be.

It shows Carl's father as Lifgrenadier Gustaf Hyg

and his mother as Gustava Carolina Andersdotter

B: 2 Jun 1826

D: 20 May 1907

and goes back several generations on both sides (his father AND mother's ancestry).
