Looking for someone who has cruised both Galapagos and the Nile (Egypt)?

I'm planning a vacation for next year and really torn between these two. I will probably eventually do both, but trying to decide which to do first. For all you seasoned cruisers out there - which one did you enjoy most and why? I know it's kind of like comparing apples and oranges but anything you can tell would be great.

  1. I haven't done the Galapagos but I have been on a Nile cruise and I can recommend it as the one everyone should do.

It was a seven day trip from Luxor to Aswan, all excursions to the temples and sites included in the fare. Qualified tour guide on boat with you for the whole trip.

All the tours start at around 6am, so that you get the sightseeing done before the day gets too hot, and believe me, it gets very hot. Afternoons cruising to next stop.

The cruise boat is like a large houseboat with 3 decks, Bar dining room and sun deck with swimming pool (small). Cabin was clean, air conditioned with shower and toilet.

The food was very good and the entertainment was OK. Not much more I can say apart from, "we would definitely do it again" after we've been to the Galapagos. Its on our list as well.

  2. Both are fine so toss! Taste of the pudding is in eating, so leave it for you to experience and enjoy!
