I have just retired from A position as Maintenance Supervision. I spent a lot of my time in the Field of Training new People that had just started the career in the field of Industrial Maintenance.

I have over 40 years of experience and training in all kinds of Industrial Maintenance.

I can help with Courses such as:

Advanced Hydraulics, Fire-protections systems, Man lift safety and operation check list, Welding, cutting, Fabricating, Blueprint reading,

Schematics and charts. Industrial safety Programs, High and low steam systems, Steam system Maintenance and repair. Gas and steam fired dryers and boilers. Boiler water circulation systems.

This is just a few.

I was just wondering if any one training in these fields could use some help from an old man in any and all of these areas. Just something I may do over the computer in my spare time?

I do not want a full time job!

  1. Helping others is a priceless job.  Volunteer for an organization that you believe in.

  2. You did not say where you are from, or which country you are in at present.

If you are in the USA,  there are lots of non-profit groups where you can volunteer your time and expertise to help others less fortunate.

I am sure there are similar organizations in most countries.

One such group is SCORE  ( www.score.org ), where retired executives volunteer time to counsel and advice aspiring entrepreneurs on how to start up a small business.

I have been a SCORE counselor for several years.

This is very worthwhile work, and you will find it satisfying to help others.

  3. Retired with the same qualifications......Thermo Engineering........found you have to be certified to teach in Michigan.......sorry.......started my own business.......work 2 days a week.....love it.....

  4. Why don't you contact local industrial companies to see if they would be i need of your expertise to train younger members of staff? They may welcome some one with so much experience. Or contact the local colleges to see if they would like a guest speaker for the students.
