Free or not. I'm sick of all these viruses and spyware and want them all to die. Need it to be powerfull, easy to use, and unstopable. also, I have some...sensitive material on my comp, so I dont want anyone from the antivirus website to be able to see what viruses i am getting and get suspicious.

  1. Guys, norton sux, I had it on my comp, when i installed avg 8 it found 4 trojans norton didn't even know was there -_-;. My advice is avg 8, and don't get norton, it won't do you any good.

  2. Defenetly go with Norton, is by far the best.

DO NOT BUY McAfee is just a waste of money, it doesn't really help, Norton all the way!!!!

  3. Avira Anti-Vir Personal

    Comodo Firewall Pro

    Lavasoft Ad-aware 2008

Never had a single virus with this solid combo. They are all completely FREE. Search them at http://www.download.com.

  4. Lets face it. You usually get what you pay for. There are some rather fine Freeware utilities out there but none of them are as strong as the ones you pay for. Of the pay ones Norton / Symantec is almost as big a joke as McAffee.Which is just marginally better than the c**p that microsoft packs with windows. Google the anti virus certifying bodies that rate these companies. Use what the pros use. Of the freeware out there my personal preferences are: For Anti-Virus) Avira Antivir, AVG, Avast, Cyber Defender.

For Anti-Spyware) Ad Aware, Panda, SpywareTerminator, SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot S&D.  Firewalls) Agnitum outpost, **COMODO PRO**, ZoneAlarm.

  5. If you go to wegiveyouspyware.com and download the Anti-Anti-Virus it gets rid of all your problems.

  6. mcafee is ranked very highly (consumer reports prefers this most). I have it and my computer has long been in tip-top shape. I've had experience with norton and zone alarm, but stop more viruses with mcafee. your web searches will be very private too (mcafee tech support and such dont even have access to your web searches or comp histories-- they couldn't look if they wanted to-- you can read this at their website, is tells all about it)

  7. this is the best advice youll get Get KASPERSKY , its the best doesnt use alot of Cpu so having it open wont optomize performance it silently waits in the back ground but will KIll any spyware viruses anything that even try to wink at you , very userfriendly and updates regularly so its always got u up to date an protected u cant go wrong

U can purchase this Sw anywhere or if ur like the rest of the world download a P2P App (Ares m azereus ) and download a torrent , Only problem with torrents is each month or so ull need a new Key update to continue Use , hope this helps my friend

  8. idk it starts with an N

  9. Try AVG or AVG free(the free one which is pretty much just as good) it's very good antvirus programme...go to www.grisoft.com

  10. norton and mcaffee are the worst they'll slow your computer down. trust me! avg won't slow your pc and doesn't take allot a disc space with the updates. there is a free version however as bad as it sounds with you i'd get the full version.  and for spyware ad aware that is 100% free.

  11. ok do not download any fromm websites I'm not sure but i think if you go to download.com you can by an antivirus.hope this helps

  16. Norton AntiVirus  or Norton Internet Security (pay)

    AVG Anti-Virus    (free edition)

    Ad-Aware (LAVASOFT)  Spyware Remover  (free)

    http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Norton AntiVirus is the most expensive one but also the BEST one.

AVG also work, most USA people use it because it's free and good.

Lavasoft is good too, remove internet rubbish.

I use both Norton (pay) and Lavasoft (free).

What are you using? Are you having these too? You can have a try.

  17. Hello from the Tech:

    The options are as follows:

1 The only decent free bee is Avast in which you event have to pay for after bout 60 days but well worth the money.

2 KASPERSKY is a software that does not hog memory or create leeks.  They update there software 10 times more than the money grabbing Norton and McAfee bs.
