Looking for the dates for the carnival in Lanzarote next year 2007 mainly the dates for Puerto del Carmen, ta?

i would recommend if you like local culture to get there one week earlier if travelling for 2 weeks,cos the carnival starts the week before in the capital-Arrecife,on sat 17th when they elect the carnival queen and the carnival drag queen! much better fun than in PDC.

if watching in PDC the carnival procession will start on Sat afternoon at the far end of Avenida De Las Playas,near the San Antonio Hotel.

best place for British people to start off is in an English bar called Blythes,which is just past the San Antonio,in a commercial centre...centro commercial costa luz,bar will be full of local brits all in fancy dress,lots of free shots,etc before main procession starts!
