Looking for the name of a comic strip?

This strip was made not long time ago. THe character was a bold guy with a goatee who apprently was a cartoonist too. He had a cat and apparently the cat died in real life and in the comic too, which brought him to finish the strip. Hope anyone can help me with this

The comic strip was called "The Big Picture", drawn by Lennie Petersen.  I loved the strip, and was saddened when Ginger, his cat, died in real life and he decided to quit doing the strip.  I think he did it to focus more on his band and to do some fine art.
